How I Think About Design
mmagnani@pratt.edu
I approach design by uncovering the underlying “why” behind a problem and using that insight to guide clear, intentional decisions.
Meaning before mechanics:
I look past surface-level usability issues to understand motivations, emotions, and the bigger contextt shaping a problem before designing solutions.
Clarity as a design outcome:
I use research to reduce ambiguity and help people feel confident, not overwhelmed, as they move through an experience.
Design is a conversation:
I treat design as iterative and collaborative, testing ideas, listening to feedback, and refining solutions over time.
